Prayer meetings

We are currently holding weekly prayer meetings on Wednesday evenings at the CHaT Hub on Brown Street, Newmilns. The meetings are also available on Zoom. You can email Benj if you want to know more, or to get the Zoom details.

At our meetings we spend a little bit of time looking at the Bible, and then spend most of the time in open prayer. We pray for a variety of different topics, from health concerns at home to the work of missionaries on the other side of the world and from opportunities with young people in our schools to the decisions made by those who govern our nation.

Our prayer meetings are open to all, anyone is welcome to pray aloud, but if you'd rather just come and pray quietly in your own head, or listen to the prayers of others, of course that's fine too.

Dependent on God

We gather to pray because when we pray we speak to the one who is sovereign over everything. Prayer is the most important thing we do, because when we pray we have access to ask things of the creator of the universe.

We praise him for who he is and what he has done. We acknowledge that everything we have comes from his hand.

Concerned for his World

We gather to pray because we're concerned. We are grieved by the inhumanity of humankind. We are moved by the plight of the suffering. We are saddened by the difficult circumstances of people in our communities. We pray because we know it's the best way to make a difference to all the injustice and pain in our world.
