Connect Groups
Connect groups are small groups of people of all ages, gathering fortnightly to study God's word and pray together. You don't need to be a Bible expert, you don't have to have all the answers, you don't even have to say anything if you don't want to. Just come and enjoy spending time together, and learn from God's word.
Our current series is looking at 1 & 2 Thessalonians and began in September 2024.
We meet on Wednesdays at 2pm in Darvel, Wednesdays at 7:30 on zoom, and Thursdays at 7:30 in Darvel. Please get in touch for location details.
If you’re not sure whether this week is a Connect Group week or a Prayer meeting week, look at the calendar!
Connected to God
We want to hear God speak to us in his word, the Bible. In connect groups we dig in together, to learn from one another’s insights. A collaborative approach helps us all to reflect carefully, and should also help us develop skills which will benefit us as we read the Bible on our own.
We also spend time in prayer at the end of our Connect Groups, connecting with God as we speak back to him, bringing our cares and concerns.
Connected to one another
Our connect groups meet in a relaxed, informal environment because we want to get to know one another well. God’s word has lots to say about what we do with and to ‘one another’. So we need to spend time together, to talk and really get to know one another.
There’s great value in having a smallish group who you see regularly, where we can develop close relationships together. As we know one another better we’ll also be able to pray for each other more meaningfully.
