Why give?
At Covenant Church there’s no charge to attend our services and other events. We want anyone and everyone to come and hear the good news of the gospel, we certainly don’t want money to be a barrier.
However, it does cost money for us to keep doing what we do — the biggest costs are employment costs for our minister, and hiring space for our meetings. So, we encourage those who attend Covenant Church regularly to consider making a financial contribution. Because we believe all good things are given to us by God, and because we rejoice in his abundant blessings, it is a privilege to be able to give to his work through the church.
How do I give?
The most helpful way for you to give is by regular standing order through the banking system. This helps us to know we have a predictable amount coming in on a regular basis so we can budget sensibly.
If you use internet banking (or telephone banking) you should be able to set up a standing order online. You’ll need the following details:
Beneficiary name: Covenant Church Newmilns
Sort code: 83-26-32
Account number: 0062 9705
Payment reference: Your gift aid number, if you have one; otherwise your surname would be helpful please.
Alternatively, you can download and print this standing order form, then post it to your bank.
If you’re a UK taxpayer, you can boost your donation by 25p for every £1 you donate at no cost to you by completing and returning this gift aid form — because Covenant church is a registered charity, HMRC will provide a bonus top-up.
If for whatever reason you’d prefer not to set up a standing order, we also have a box available at our services for donations by cash or cheque. It’s still possible to claim gift aid on donations made in this way. Fill in the form linked above and you’ll be given a number which you can write on envelopes to put in the box.
I’m struggling
We’re sorry if you’re going through a difficult time financially due to unemployment, reduced income or any other circumstance. If you’re in the habit of giving to the church and need to reduce that, we completely understand. We’d also like to be praying for you if this is a cause of stress, so do please get in touch, and if you need practical support then let us know. We’d be glad to help in whatever way we can.
